Latest Home Install

Had the pleasure to install the portraits for the Porter Family in High Point yesterday.
Did you know we can do a custom install of your portraits for you?  We really enjoy seeing a project through to completion.  It's truely rewarding to be able to start with the idea for the portait session then to image creation, view and choose-where ideas are hatched, to retouch, printing, framing and finally installation.

Happy Father's Day

To say that this father /daughter portrait is priceless, doesn’t even begin to portray my sentiments this Father’s Day. I can’t imagine anyone having loved or been loved by their father, anymore than me. Unfortunately, I don’t have a portrait like this one, only my memories and let’s face it, my mind’s eye just isn’t as focused as it used to be.       –Michelle Mitchell, Customer Relations Manager, Ken Sykes Photography

The bond between father and daughter is the most important bond indeed,
It cannot be broken when she finds a man, and become his wife,
It cannot be broken even in the ending of either ones life,
A daughter will always have the memories of her father, her best friend
This bond has a beginning, but there is never an end.
The bond between a father and daughter is so profound
The love shared is well renowned,
From the beginning of his daughters life, he is a changed man,
At that moment his life really just began.
From the moment their eyes meet, two souls instantly become complete.

New Features

Ken is forever coming up with a little something extra to add to the natural beauty of the studio's landscape.  As if our almost 2.5 acres of mature lawn isn't enough with it's magnolia trees, camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas and  iris's (to name a few) Ken has just added a split-rail fence to offset the field and all it's wild flowers.  The landscape at Ken Sykes Photography  is both beautiful and functional, with plants and features working together in harmony.  Oh how I love this place and all it's many photo ops.  Come on out and see for yourself.

An Artist at Work

Hi, my name is Michelle Mitchell and I am the Customer Relations Manager at Ken Sykes Photography.  The big guy laying in the street is our very own Ken Sykes. The beautiful young lady peeping over his shoulder is Sr. Spokes Model Brooke Hebert.  Both pics were taken with a camera phone by Brooke's mother, Ashley Hebert, who accompanied her daughter downtown Greensboro for this very special senior session.  Ken receives his inspiration from his subjects themselves.  In a day, Ken might begin photographing a new born babe and end with a family portrait boasting five-generations. Another day might bring us a high school senior, then later, a  senior citizen.  The only constant is this- Somewhere between his eye and the human heart, using only a camera lens, Ken Sykes is able to capture the innocence of a child and the essence of an adult, without distraction, revealing both inner beauty and personality.  His work is true to form, an artistic expression of life.  Go Here to view Brooke's Senior Session.
