Summer Cousins Revisited

Recently we received a reorder from this session shot in the summer from Cindy Adams and Julia Mayo. Their sons are pictured here. It reminded me of the good parts of summer. It made me forget about all the bugs, sweating, sunburns and how darn hot it was. Very soon we be longing for those days again. Until then this will keep you longing for summer.

Noah Talbert discovers leaves!

Capturing milestones and memories is what it's all about. Sometimes a series of potraits can tell a story better than just one can. Little Noah did not quite know what he had but he was curious and excited about it all. Capturing memories one click at a time.

Some of My Favs.

This the lovely Scout Cain. Daughter of Andrea Bennett-Cain and Daniel Cain. We have been photographing Scout since the beginning. As time passes it is very rewarding for all of us to see the growth of our customers. Since we don't see them everyday we are often surprised how fast they change. Scout was very shy at first like most girls her age are. She seemed to think it was funny when we asked her to say "daddy is a monkey". This loosened her up, but not as much as when we asked her if she wanted to color
this shot was taken as she looked up from coloring. One of my favorites ever!

Mary's Bridal session

I truely enjoy working with nature. Beautiful girls make beautiful brides especially when backdropped by nature at its finest as it is now in the peak of fall color.

Joshua and Jacob

This is Jennifer with Joshua. For those who are familiar with my work know I really enjoy working with babies. I know what those of you with cameras must be thinking-are you crazy! However with patience, perseverance, luck and a little bit of talent look what you can accomplish! A portrait that mom and baby will cherish for a lifetime.
It is especially rewarding when you have had the privilage of photographing mom and dad's wedding. Watching families grow is so rewarding. Jacob is Jennifer and James first child. He was such a good big brother for the session. Following directions so well. Donna called him her little buddy. Thanks again for the support over these 10 years.

Punkin

This is Mr. Douglas Evans aka "PUNKIN" with his lovely wife Brently. Punkin and his wife have lived behind my parents house on the adjacent farm for as long as I can remember. He has been a farm hand all his life. "Best Tractor Man I ever seen" his boss man was known to say.
Punkin and Brently raised three sucessful children all living in diffrerent parts of our great country.
I remember Punkin growng up as always smiling and quick to throw up his hand to wave at you as if it had been years since he'd seen you. And mostly on one type of tractor or another.

Punkin, in his off time, could usually be seen on his his lawnmower at the the end of his dirt road at Hwy 87 waving at everyone, especially to those that would honk and wave at him.

You don't see Punkin up at the road much anymore. He contracted throat cancer this year and had to have his voice box removed. Some say he won't be with us much lomger. I say the world will be a lot sadder without him.
I like all of us have been blessed with a talent. I truely enjoy being able to capture a persons spirit and soul in a medium that allows their loved ones to remember and cherish them. That in itself is a gift to me.

I welcome any comments on this portrait.

Fall is here!

The leaves are changing colors and the air is getting cooler. For me, its is my favorite time of year. Its time to think about getting the Family portrait redone. Those warm fall colors make for wonderful backgrounds for partraits. See a copy of our Fall post card.
